For primary school run clubs

Every lap makes you a star.

Lapstar turns a morning run club into the best part of the school week. Kids scan their badge each lap, houses race on the big screen, and the whole school runs its way across Australia.

The Lapstar overview: the school's journey map, house race and session totals

Built and piloted at Como Primary School, Perth, WA: 143 students registered and 25 sessions across Terms 2–3, 2026, with 853 laps (176 km) in Term 3 alone.

How it works

  1. Families sign up in two minutes

Scan the poster QR, pick year and house (or faction), agree to the club rules. The QR badge is emailed to the parent, ready to print.

  2. Coaches or helpers scan laps on any phone

Nothing to install. The camera scanner flashes the house colour and guards against double scans. Scans are kept when wifi or mobile data drops, and sent when the connection comes back.

  3. Everyone celebrates

A Live Board for the crowd, the house race, a whole-school journey across Australia, sticker books and certificates for assembly.
