Privacy at Lapstar
Lapstar helps schools run a before-school run club. Here's what we keep about your family, and why.
What we collect
- Your child's name, year level and house.
- The parent or guardian's name, and that they agreed to the club rules.
- The parent or guardian's email address.
- Lap scans, with the time of each lap.
- The names and roles of school staff and helpers who use Lapstar.
Why
- To run the club, count laps and celebrate everyone's progress.
Who sees it
- The school's Lapstar admins and helpers.
- Families see their own child's sticker book through a private link, with first name only.
- Parents signed in to the family page see their own children's names and badges.
- Shared screens, like the Live Board, show runner names unless the school turns that off.
Emails we send
- A confirmation with your child's QR badge when you register.
- Sign-in links for your family page, when you ask for one.
- Milestone and term-summary emails, which you can turn off from your family page or any email's unsubscribe link.
- We never send marketing.
Where it's stored
- In a Cloudflare D1 database located in Oceania. The app itself is served by Cloudflare Workers.
How long we keep it
- For as long as the school uses Lapstar. We delete it when the school asks.

- To correct or delete a record, ask your school or email hello@lapstar.au.

- Show ads.
- Sell data.
